This past Saturday marked the most amazing moment of my life as an artist! Recently, I was commissioned by the Mark Hopkins Hotel in San Francisco to create two portraits for their museum: one of Mark Hopkins and one of Gerald D. Smith, the man who built the hotel. We drove to the Mark this weekend, and for the first time in person I saw the portraits I painted hung on the walls here. Wow - I still can't believe that my art is in a San Francisco Museum!! This is truly a dream come true.
If you find yourself in San Francisco, I hope you'll stop by the hotel to see these paintings in person. Plus, it's really fun to go to the Top of the Mark for a cocktail afterwards!
I'd like to thank the Mark Hopkins Hotel for this incredible opportunity. And a huge thank you to Midtown Framing for making these, and all of my paintings, look so wonderful.
Wishing everyone a Happy & Healthy New Year - may all of our dreams comes true in 2018!
